TWLWC – Educational Tours
Supporting Informed Community Leadership
Tillamook Working Lands & Waters Cooperative provides educational outreach opportunities for local leaders, partner organizations, and community decision-makers. These invitation-based tours offer a firsthand look at how our region’s farms, forests, and waterways are managed every day by the people who care for them.
Seeing Stewardship in Action
Through guided visits to working landscapes, participants see firsthand how producers care for the land, protect water quality, support wildlife habitat, and sustain the local economy. Each experience offers practical, real-world context that complements policy conversations, community planning efforts, and ongoing regional collaboration.
Producers and land managers lead the way, sharing the daily practices, challenges, and innovations that shape our natural resource environment. These conversations create space for thoughtful dialogue and help strengthen relationships across community sectors.
Our Outreach
Educational outreach is focused on groups directly involved in community planning, resource management, and regional decision-making. Participants often include local government officials, tribal and agency partners, nonprofit organizations, and civic or business leaders working on shared initiatives. The goal is to support informed leadership by providing an accurate, on-the-ground understanding of the area’s working landscapes.
Why We Share This Experience
Working lands play an essential role in the environmental and economic health of Tillamook County. By opening our operations to community partners, TWLWC helps build trust, strengthen collaboration, and support decisions grounded in firsthand knowledge. These outreach opportunities highlight the care and commitment that local producers bring to stewarding the region’s natural resources.
